Description

Understand the Roles and permissions

Get an overview of the various roles available in Okta Workflows and the basic responsibilities for each.

The tables on the Resource permissions page provide a detailed breakdown of all the privileges for each role.

Assign the Okta Workflows app

An Okta super admin must assign the Okta Workflows app integration to users and groups that require access to Okta Workflows.

This action is handled within the Okta Admin Console.

Synchronize Okta Workflows users and groups

A super admin must synchronize user information from the Okta org to Okta Workflows for users that already have the Okta Workflows app.

In addition, the super admin must create a push group and manually sync the group downstream to Okta Workflows.

Assign the Workflows Administrator role

Optional.

A super admin assigns the elevated Workflows Administrator role to users or groups from within the Admin Console.

Manage Workflows roles

Optional.

Either a super admin or a Workflows Administrator assigns other roles to users and groups from within the Workflows Console.
