Sync a user account

Syncing a user account is required only if you have existing super admins assigned to the Okta Workflows app before you enable the role-based access control feature.

This feature is available only on Preview orgs.

Before you begin

You must be signed in to the Okta Admin Console as a super admin.

Sync a user

  1. In the Admin Console, go to ApplicationsApplications.

  2. Open the Okta Workflows app integration from the Applications list.

  3. On the Assignments tab, any users who need to be provisioned have a red exclamation mark beside their name. Click Provision User and then click OK to initiate the provisioning action.

    This action syncs a non-provisioned user downstream to Okta Workflows and grants the user the Workflows Administrator permissions within the Workflows Console.

    The provisioned user should now have access to the Settings page in the Workflows Console.

  4. Review the updated assigned users list and confirm that there are no other users with a provisioning error.

  5. Check the Role assignment tab in Workflows Console to confirm the user accounts are synced to Okta Workflows.
