Assign resource owners

You can assign owners to the following types of resources:

  • Apps
  • Bundles
  • Entitlements
  • Groups
  • Resource collections

Assigning owners to any app, bundle, or entitlement is done through the app's governance settings. Assigning owners to a resource collection is done through the collection's governance settings. Group ownership is handled through a group's owners settings.

Before you begin

You must be an admin with permissions to manage apps, view groups and their details, view users and their details, and manage resource collections.

Procedure

Complete the instructions that apply to the resource that you selected.

Assign owners to an app

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications and Resources > Applications.

  2. Search for and select the app integration that contains the resource whose ownership you want to assign.
  3. Go to the Governance tab.
  4. Go to the Owners tab.
  5. Click App.
  6. If no app owners have been assigned, click Assign owners. Otherwise, click Assign app owners.
  7. Select Users or Group as the type of owner to assign.
  8. Select the owners of the app.
    • If you chose Users, select a maximum of five users to assign as owners.
    • If you chose Group, select one group to assign as an owner.
  9. Click Assign owners.

Assign owners to a bundle

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications and Resources > Applications.

  2. Search for and select the app integration that contains the resource whose ownership you want to assign.
  3. Go to the Governance tab.
  4. Go to the Owners tab.
  5. Click Bundles.
  6. If no bundle owners have been assigned, click Assign owners. Otherwise, click Assign bundle owners.
  7. Select Users or Group as the type of owner to assign.
  8. Select the bundle that the owners are being assigned to.
  9. Select the owners of the bundle.
    • If you chose Users, select a maximum of five users to assign as owners.
    • If you chose Group, select one group to assign as an owner.
  10. Click Assign owners.

Assign owners to an entitlement

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications and Resources > Applications.

  2. Search for and select the app integration that contains the resource whose ownership you want to assign.
  3. Go to the Governance tab.
  4. Go to the Owners tab.
  5. Click Entitlements.
  6. If no entitlement owners have been assigned, click Assign owners. Otherwise, click Assign entitlement owners.
  7. Select Users or Group as the type of owner to assign.
  8. Select the entitlement and one or more values that owners are being assigned to.
  9. Select the owners of the entitlement.
    • If you chose Users, select a maximum of five users to assign as owners.
    • If you chose Group, select one group to assign as an owner.
  10. Click Assign owners.

Assign owners to a resource collection

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Identity Governance > Resource Collections.

  2. Search for and view the resource collection whose ownership you want to assign.
  3. Go to the Owners tab.
  4. If no owners have been assigned, click Assign owners. Otherwise, click Assign collection owners.
  5. Select Users or Group as the type of owner to assign.
  6. Select the owners of the app.
    • If you chose Users, select a maximum of five users to assign as owners.
    • If you chose Group, select one group to assign as an owner.
  7. Click Assign owners.
