Copy File

Copy a file to destination folder by ID in Google Drive.

Unless otherwise indicated, field types are text.

Required fields are indicated by a red asterisk.


  • File

    • File ID: The unique file ID. Can be found in the file URL or by using Search Files.

    • Name: The name of the file.

    • Description: The description of the file.

    • Parent Folder ID: The unique folder ID if the file is in a nested folder. Can be found by using Search Folders.

    • Starred (boolean): If the document is starred or not.

    • Viewers Can Download (boolean): If viewers can download the content.

    • Writers Can Share (boolean): If writers can share the file.


  • File

    • File ID: The copy file ID.

    • File Name: The new file name. The file name will combine Copy of with the the original file name. If no file name exists, the file name will be Copy of Untitled Document.
