Set up Okta Verify on your Android device with a QR code

If your organization supports authentication with Okta Verify, you typically receive sign-in instructions by email. The email contains a link to your organization’s sign-in URL and your username (your email address).

  1. Start the setup on your computer. Open your email and click your organization's sign-in URL.
  2. Enter your username (email address) and password, and click Sign In.
  3. If you're prompted to set up Okta Verify, follow the instructions.

  4. On your device, download Okta Verify from the Google Play Store – Okta Verify and install it.
  5. Open the app and follow the instructions to add your account.
  6. When prompted, point your camera at the QR code displayed in the browser on the computer.
  7. Follow the instructions to complete the account setup.

Okta Verify is now set up. You can use it to authenticate to apps protected by Okta.

On Android 12, you can’t enable biometrics if Okta Verify is installed in your work profile. Skip the biometrics enablement step if you can. Contact your organization’s help desk if you’re stuck.
