Configure profile enrollment policies
A profile enrollment policy collects attributes from end users when they attempt to access an app. You can use the policy for self-service registration or for progressive enrollment.
If you enabled the Multiple Identifiers EA feature, the profile enrollment policy is renamed user profile policy. See the individual topics for navigation changes and updated tasks.
In self-service registration scenarios, end users click a Sign-up link in the Sign-In Widget. When they authenticate, Okta adds their profile and provisions them to the appropriate groups.
In progress enrollment scenarios, end users see a profile enrollment form when they sign in. They must provide the required data before they can access the app. Progressive enrollment is useful if you want a user’s email address added to their profile before they access a sensitive application, or if visitors need to create a profile before they can view or download resources.
